Finance Director

Karen serves as the Finance Director at FBC Kaufman, where she works to steward the church’s resources with wisdom, integrity, and care. Her heart is to manage the financial needs of the church in a way that honors God and supports the mission and ministries of FBC Kaufman. With a deep love for people, Karen brings both attention to detail and a welcoming spirit to everything she does.

Karen and her family moved to Kaufman in 2000 and found their church home at FBC Kaufman in 2006, drawn by the warmth of the congregation and the strength of its multigenerational ministry. She joined the staff in 2009 at the invitation of Beth James, beginning as a ministry assistant in the Children's Ministry. Over the years, her role has grown and shifted, eventually leading her to her current position in the Finance Office.

She loves connecting with others and prefers a good face-to-face conversation over a text message any day. When she’s not working, you’ll find her spending time with family and friends. Karen is married to Sam, and together they enjoy being parents and grandparents to six children and their families. Her parents are also members of FBC Kaufman, making family gatherings especially meaningful.
