Paula Dunn

Pastor of Community Outreach

Paula serves as the Pastor of Community Outreach at FBC Kaufman, where she leads ministry efforts focused on senior adults, compassion care, and community partnerships. She oversees Kaufman Connect, a thriving ministry that creates space for belonging, purpose, and friendship among senior adults in our church and city. She also leads our compassion ministries—including Celebrate Recovery, Grief Share, and partnerships with Bee Happy Day Hab and Reimagine—helping people know they are seen, valued, and never alone.

Paula joined the FBC Kaufman staff in 2020 after serving as the Administrative Coordinator for the Nurse Residency Program at UT Southwestern. Though her background includes decades of children’s and camp ministry, God surprised her in 2022 by leading her into senior adult ministry—where she now finds deep joy. Under her leadership, Kaufman Connect has grown significantly, and a new Grandparent Ministry is equipping intentional Christian grandparents to invest in the next generation.

Her passion has always been people. From her earliest years helping plant churches with her parents to today, Paula prays regularly to see others through God’s eyes and to walk with them in their needs, hurts, and stories.

Paula has been married to Richard for 44 years. Together they raised three children—Brent, Amanda, and Taylor—all of whom love the Lord and serve people faithfully. Their growing family includes three incredible in-laws and nine grandchildren, who are the joy of Paula’s life. She and Richard love weekend getaways, baseball games, hiking, and their treasured annual tradition: Cousin Camp. They are Paula’s greatest joy, second only to her salvation.
