Staying active and involved is so important as we age, and far too many retirement age adults get too comfortable in their recliner and spend more time at home than is healthy. If you are 65 and over, we want to invite you to get out, get fit, and give back! People that care about you have built a new organization with you in mind.

Kaufman Connect is a partnership between FBC Kaufman, Texas Health Resources, and Kaufman County’s Senior Connect. Membership is free and available to anyone living in Kaufman County who is 65+. You are welcome no matter your current church or if you don’t have one at all. Every retirement age adult is invited and encouraged to be a part.

Each day from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., adults from across Kaufman County gather at The Porch, for a free breakfast and lunch and a host of activities and groups. There is something for everyon; art classes, exercise groups, book clubs, day trips, music, movies, a community garden, mentoring opportunities and much more.

We all have a choice about whether or not we make the most of our golden years or waste them watching television or surfing the web. We all want to see the 65+ in Kaufman County thrive and continue to make awesome contributions to our communities. Would you come help us build something great?

Please contact Cindy Rich at 214-47-8001 if you have questions.

New groups and classes begin September 2nd. You are welcome to come any day of the week or on all of them!
