Program Tracks

  • Intern Track

    Time Commitment: 15–30 hours/week

    Eligibility: College Sophomores

    Duration: 1–2 semesters

    Benefits: Housing and meals provided; Summer College Scholarship Match

  • College Resident Track

    Time Commitment: 25–40 hours/week

    Eligibility: College Juniors and Seniors

    Duration: 2 years (August 1 – July 31)

    Benefits: Housing and meals provided; participation in the Foundry Cohort

  • Masters Resident Track

    Time Commitment: 25–40 hours/week

    Eligibility: College Graduates / Masters Level

    Duration: 2 years (August 1 – July 31)

Foundry Cohort Curriculum

As a resident, you'll engage in comprehensive theological studies, including:

  • Understanding how Scripture informs life

  • Exploring the nature of God and humanity

  • Studying the person and work of Jesus and the Holy Spirit

  • Applying the principles of redemption

  • Examining the purpose of the local church

  • Anticipating the promised future for God's people

  • Practicing evangelism

  • Developing leadership principles

  • Learning effective ministry practices

 FAQs

  • Your daily activities will vary based on the ministry area you serve in. Upon acceptance, your supervisor will outline specific expectations and responsibilities. Residents balance vocational duties with their Foundry Cohort coursework.

  • In addition to the Foundry Cohort, residents receive personalized coaching from supervisors and have opportunities for further growth through various ministry experiences.

  • No. Residents are provided with accommodations corresponding to their program track. For instance, college residents receive housing and meals.

  • Residents live in the multi-floor, community-oriented Resident House. An adult couple from FBC Kaufman also resides there, offering meals and additional support.

  • We strongly recommend living in the Resident House to fully engage in the community experience. However, we understand unique circumstances may arise and are open to discussing alternatives.

  • Yes! Regardless of your educational background, the Foundry Cohort offers valuable insights and growth opportunities. Your experience will enrich the learning environment for all participants.

  • Absolutely. Residents have the opportunity to apply for a second year in the program.
